Do, success see for looks?

Well few of us are aware of him, while few have known him for quite long time but we are irrelevant of his skills, talent and proficiency. Yes, we are talking about Danish Khan, a young aspirant who started of trying to join theatre as an artist but was rejected straight on his face, saying “ your looks do not appeal our audience, we cannot  afford having you in our team” but that did not stop talented Danish, after this he tried out at few other theatres too but they asked for huge fee, and Danish dint want to use his parents money for his interest, then he diverted himself for quite a time and concentrated on his studies, being a bright student Danish completed his education with distinction including his extracurricular activities like playing sports and other similar things.

                Yet Danish wasn’t satisfied with it, Coz the bug bite him about theatre and arts dint die,  it was starving inside, and when Danish completed his bachelor’s degree he started up with his own team in Hyderabad and started practicing and brushing up skills of himself and his mates. He got few friends in group and few he collected from his orkut group and other social media those who never got opportunity. They had no teacher but themselves Danish took a lead and started teaching them whatever he knew about it, few days later they started conducting workshops and rehearsals of old Hindi and Urdu language plays.  Few days later when they were good with their skills they wanted to test it and they approached a college to provide their auditorium for presenting their skills but as they were newbie’s and as usual they faced rejection, but Danish wasn’t ready to accept this, he went back and requested if they can perform at least in the campus garden, dean agreed and said if you are able to gather at least 20 for your play, I will allow you to perform in college auditorium and luckily the team gathered 45. And everyone appreciated them and this dint stop here, they continued to entertain other colleges too. After doing this in several colleges the team was called by two famous business schools of India and was asked to conduct workshop for their students who perform plays within their college. And then was asked to teach them professionally in the biggest auditorium of the city.

Danish did teach them selflessly and when they performed plays, Danish’s students were appreciated too, and if sources are to be believed then those students still thank him for what he taught them. These students were many youngsters and also beautiful girls. They treat Danish as their guru for life and they would never like to miss any further workshops of Danish.

During these days, Danish wasn’t interested in acting or directing, he was approached by few short film makers from Mumbai though he wasn’t interested he dint do any short films Coz he was still a bit nervous on facing camera coz he had no experience and he lacked confidence and was busy with his workshops. Few months later Danish was interested in film making and he approached his friend Sujith sign who is now well known for his series of his amazing short films and now a feature film Run Raja run.  But Sujith didn’t wanted to let him direct any film, instead he made a story and asked Danish to play the lead role in it. Sujith knew that there’s a hidden great actor in Danish. The Short film was titled KILL THEORY, somehow sujith boosted Danish and made him face camera, and Danish too stood up to sujith’s expectations and even sujith was very happy with his performance and gifted the release of film on Danish’s Birthday as a gift. The duo worked on many short films later and few days later Danish got a call stating a Korean film maker has seen the short films of Danish and wanted to cast him in his next film for international film festival, he agreed and the film was gained many awards in 8 different countries and this continued with his next few short films.

Then Danish wasn’t satisfied with the scripts he was being offered, so he started off writing his own scripts, dialogues and stories which turned out to be well appreciated film DUA which was directed by his friend Nikhil. And the short films in Hyderabad were established. These friends went making films like Kill, Theory, Deal and few others.

Today many might not know but these were the guys who found short film making or say short film culture in Hyderabad City.
